Burnt mishaps 4.02.06.:.11:40am

Sorry for the lack of updates but lately I've been neglecting my site. I created a website for a friend and her comic book and hosting it on my server at the moment. Symphony of the Universe is the name of her comic book.
We had to work overtime last Friday night and ended up getting out of there earlier than expected. Only 3 hours of work and I still managed to
burn the shit out of my hand. Stuck my hand in 400 degree hot melt glue and rubbed it on my other hand which resulted in a big blister. So now I have to deal with puss and having to take showers with a glove on, YAY! What a pita.
Yesterday Tim helped me bring an entertainment center I got from
Rubbertoe for free. The thing is huge and heavy and we had some trouble getting it in here since we couldn't take it apart. We ended up breaking the base and the bungee cords hurt the side. Oh well, nothing a bit of wood glue and brackets can't fix. Afterwards I took him out to dinner as thanks and we hung out around here till about 7pm.
As soon as Tim left Dan pulled up back from Okalahoma. He'll be working in Wyoming soon as a park ranger which is jawsome. We sat around and talked for a bit which cleared some frustrations. Although so many more questions were brought out. There is no one else in this world that I could share in the same conversation as I do Dan.
All and all this weekend has had it's ups and downs but nonetheless I move forward this week with this daylight savings time taking my hour away.

RIP overtime 4.09.06.:.3:24am

Just last week I updated and not a whole lot happened since then. I had my great grandmother's funeral last Thursday. We had close family gather and a few I met for the first time. It was a good get together combined with the conclusion of my eldest of our family. Rest in peace Anna Lorenzi April 5th 1918 - January 1 2006. Btw we buried her ashes beside my great grandfather's grave, Guido Lorenzi.
With that I got two much needed days off of work that were paid only to come back to two night of overtime. I figure they need me there since we had to work this overtime. This marked the first time my department had to work overtime on a Saturday night. Usually we only have Friday nights although I have worked a Saturday before due to me volunteering. I am drained after that being that I am now coming down with a cold/flu. I am hoping that I do not end up having to go to work with a temperature of 104 again.
I finally finished the core site for Symphony of the Universe, a comic my friend both writes and illustrates. She seems happy with it and is taking steps to learn how to maintain it herself. This is good since she can get exactly what she wants rather than depending on me. Besides I have no creative bones in me, just spontaneous ones. The next step is to get her own domain name and server through GoDaddy.
Did some updates for my site and if you have a browser that supports RSS Feeds (firefox/opera) you would know this. If you do have those browsers and do not know what an RSS Feed is just click the at the bottom right hand corner of your browser and subscribe asap. I'll be using this utility frequently for now on as well as updating for media.

RIP overtime 4.09.06.:.3:24am

Not much to say here today but I thought that I would give it a try. Lately it has been wake up to eat to work to bed then repeat. Growing tired of my job and I cannot wait till September. Last night at work we had a malfunctioning hot melt (glue) gun which was dripping 400 degree glue dangerously close to my hands and arms. This normally doesn't happen but the gun they gave us was fubar. The inevitable finally happened and I ended up with horrible blisters on both hands. Oy vey! The last thing I want from this place are scars as reminders. I mean 1.25% of my life is going to be spend in a factory and I will have to live with the fading reminders of the pain it gave me.
I feel all of this could have been avoided but all it does is make me look like an idiot. I had nothing to do with this incident since I was not the one handling the glue. I am not saying since Ibrahima was handling the glue it was his fault. What I am saying is that the glue gun should have been replaced long before it became a problem. I can't get angry because that will not correct the situation or make my hands feel any better. Instead I can only run my hands under cold water and hope for the best.

Good Weekend 4.17.06.:.10:47am

Great 3 day weekend (have Good Friday off also). Went to go see The Benchwarmers with Kevin and mom. It was an okay flick to say the least. I'm just happy Jon Heder didn't play his Napoleon Dynamite character in the film. Definitely not a movie I would recommend anyone go out and see before it comes out on dvd.
After the movie Kevin stayed overnight and we played games all night long. Made me feel like I was a teenager again since I was playing more Sega and Super Nintendo games instead of games on the Xbox and Gamecube. We had fun and crashed early around 6am. When we woke up around 1pm I took
Kevin out to play some minigolf. We were neck and neck most of the time except for his hole in one's and my missing. He was being a smart ass and I found myself missing even more. In the end Kevin ended up winning by 2 strokes thus making me cry.
The next day I had Easter dinner with the folks and Kevin. It was a great dinner complete with ham, mashed
po-ta-toes, green beans, corn, rolls etc. Afterwards there was pie! After playing some football with Kevin I went home and met up with Dan. As I was taking out my trash he arrived and we walked to get my mail. On our way back we spotted a car driving over curbs in the parking lot. He sped around and stopped in front of us with his back to us. We backed off anticipating him backing up although he did no such thing. An officer showed and cornered him into a parking spot. The man then bolted out of his car up the stairs to his apartment with the officer close behind. He was tackled by the officer and then maced. More officers showed to restrain him and we just watched. Quite entertaining we thought, as did most of the people whom I live with at my apartments. Best quote out of this one was "Careful, she'll taser your ass, she don't care!"
We sat around and drank a few while watching
Boondock Saints. He ended up getting the job in Wyoming and will be out of Ohio in two weeks so I am going to try and spend some more time with him, might be the last time I see him. Jess showed later and Dan took his leave. Great seeing Jess since I didn't spend too much of my weekend with her. She has to work and I am everywhere.
Enjoy the pics and get those high scores up there,
Rubbertoe already has dryfire's.

Bleh 4.19.06.:.10:44am

Not much to say about the last couple days except bleh. Can't wait for my 5 months to up at my place of business. By that time I will be able to goto school and not have to work for than 40 hours a week for a long time. Since I was 15 years of age I've been working and never been unemployed. Hell at times I've held 3 to 4 jobs at the same time. I cannot wait to retire if I ever get the chance. I'll probably end up in an early grave.
I'll probably have to work this weekend......

Last Crutch 4.23.06.:.8:47pm

Today I woke up sick as hell. It's not like I wasn't sick these past weeks, it's that it is finally kicking my ass. It really hit me hard yesterday when I was playing fùtbol with Salman. It might have been because I was a smoker (quit yesterday at 10:00am) but my chest was killing me. Although that was fun regardless. A fried of mine cracked 2 ribs by coughing his head off. That scares me ever since I ran into him. He described his symptoms and they sound very similar to mine. What scared me is that he was diagnosed with influenza...
So that same battle goes on once again. I'm hoping to at least get over the
three day hump. Going to work tonight is going to kill me. Most of my friends smoke in the break room therefore I'm there. At least when I quit I wasn't smoking Reds or Camels. Instead I was smoking a less addictive cigarette before I quit. Two packs of those guys and I was done. The way I am going about fighting the need to smoke is instead of giving in I plan on just gaining 50 pounds. Hell I've already been eating too much since I have quit.
