"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
I tumble out of bed, stumble to the kitchen, pour myself a cup of ambition... yawn and stretch and try to come to life.
What is your most treasured material possession?
My photo albums. I tend to live in the past, and my pictures help reinforce that practice. I judge it to be my most treasured possession, because they are what I would miss most if I lost everything in a fire or hurricane or something. Oh wait... does a cat count as a possession? *laugh*
Are you afraid of failure?
Not really. If I truly want to excel at something, all I can do is give it my best and hope that it is enough.
What is the best advice that you've ever received?
Recently, I'd have to say that it was "Just come in, do your eight hours, and go home."
Which actor/actress would you have play yourself in a film?
     Steve Buscemi
Do you believe in a higher being (God)?
Yes, I do believe - but I also don't think that it wrong to have questions and doubts about God and the Christian faith in general. You can't just follow something blindly, asking no questions.
What do you never leave home without?
My wallet, my phone, and my hairbrush. :-)
Who would you most like to meet?
Michael Waltrip, NASCAR driver. He seems like a down-to-earth type of guy, considering his "star status" and butt loads of income. Granted, he isn't some movie star or grand political figure - but he seems like he'd actually LIKE meeting his fans, unlike many other folks that people might normally answer this question with.
What music would you like to have played at your funeral?
I don't have a particular song, but I know that I wouldn't want it to be "sad music" that you'd normally hear at such events. I'd want more of a sampler of music that I loved, that also fit some themes in my life. Music and lyrics are important in my life, and I want the music at my funeral to fit along those same lines.
When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see?
I understand that I'm not gorgeous, but I'm also not repulsive - so yeah, I'm alright with the person looking back at me.
If you had $1,000,000 dollars what would you do with it?
Most of it would immediately go into the bank, with my major purchases probably being a new car and a modest new home. I wouldn't quit my job or significantly change my lifestyle, although I probably would start going to school for something that I'm actually interested in making a career in.
What was your favorite subject at school?
I didn't like school. Most of the stuff they were teaching was stuff that I already knew and had very little interest in sitting through again. My art classes were the most enjoyable for me. I don't have great skills or anything - but at least it wasn't tedious like the rest of the day.
What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?
This one is tough... I'm sitting here, really trying to think of something, but I can honestly say that I've never really done anything that I've been that embarrassed about. I suppose the closest thing is when I sing karaoke... I've always been nervous whenever I'd have to stand or speak in front of a group of people, yet in a way I love doing that very thing when I sing. Every time I do it, I'm still nervous, and I always feel a bit embarrassed when I'm done and people are clapping for me as I go back to my seat.
Half full or half empty?
Half empty. I'm über-pessimistic... cynical, misanthropic, anti-social, etc... you name it.
Any alias's?
Goofy, Roberto, Rubbertoe, Toe, Bobby John, Little Bobby
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Only if I absolutely have to in order to remove them from my sweaty, stinking feet.
Do you need a meaning to life?
I don't need a meaning or a purpose, but I do need something... the thing that helps me get by is knowing that (for the most part) I live my life in a way that I shouldn't be ashamed of. I'm generally not mean to people, I try to help people in ways if I can, if someone is a true friend to me I respond in the same way, and I try to treat people as I would like to be treated. That doesn't mean I won't be an ass if you cross me, though.
